Cantor staff gave money to US finance committee

Howard Lutnick, chief executive and chairman of Cantor Fitzgerald, his wife, and other Cantor employees made donations to members of the House of Representatives financial services committee, which is now urging an investigation into Cantor's arch-rival, Icap.

Between December 1999 and March 2001, Cantor employees made donations amounting to $7,000 (e7,000) to three members of the Committee on Financial Services, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Lutnick's share was $2,000.
