Capitalia hires ex-Goldman heavyweight Costamagna

Capitalia has called in Claudio Costamagna, former chairman of European investment banking at Goldman Sachs, as a strategic adviser following speculation the bank has once again become a takeover target.

A source close to the bank said Cesare Geronzi, the chairman of the board, had proposed the appointment of Costamagna as a strategic adviser, and the board had accepted.
