Carlyle doubles investment after Honsel sale

Carlyle, the global private equity firm, has doubled its money by selling Honsel International Technologies, a German automotive supplier. The price was not disclosed but is understood to be about €650m ($792m), according to sources close to the deal.

The secondary sale of Honsel to Ripplewood, a US private equity firm, is Carlyle's fourth exit from its €1bn European fund.
