Carlyle hires Hanrieder as co-head of European venture fund

Carlyle, the global private equity firm with $13bn (€15bn) under management, has hired Wolfgang Hanrieder as co-head of its €730m European venture partners fund.

He will be joined on March 1 by Chris Hodges, who will be a senior associate. Hodges will focus on material sciences investments. He previously invested in start-up companies with 3i, the UK private equity firm.
