Carmignac latest to dump tobacco as divestment movement grows

A flurry of announcements from fund managers has greeted the UN’s ‘Tobacco-Free Finance Pledge’

French asset manager Carmignac has become the latest to set out a formal policy against investing in tobacco stocks, capping a week of successes for campaigners against the industry.

Carmingnac joins a flurry of other asset managers to denounce tobacco, including Skagen Funds and AMP Capital.
