Cayman Islands removed from EU’s banned tax haven list

The European Union has removed the Cayman Islands from its list of uncooperative tax havens.

The list of non-cooperative jurisdictions for tax purposes, to which Anguilla and Barbados were added in the 6 October update, is a record of the non-EU jurisdictions that “have not engaged in a constructive dialogue with the EU on tax governance”, according to the Council of the EU’s statement.
