Chief executive of Securities Institute steps down

Geoffrey Turner has stepped down as chief executive of the Securities Institute, the UK industry body for securities and investment professionals.

Turner, a former director of the London Stock Exchange, agreed to leave the role after six years because of the Securities Institute decision to change direction. It is repositioning itself to concentrate on promoting its range of qualifications for securities professionals.
