Citigroup has pledged to offer hundreds of incoming summer interns full-time work at the bank, despite its annual learning programme for university students being heavily disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The US bank said in a memo to its 2020 interns, seen by Financial News, that it has delayed the start of its 10-week programme from early June to 6 July but that those attending would still be paid for the full term.
