Citigroup teams up with Apollo for $25bn private credit push

The US bank’s dealmakers are set to originate the loans while Apollo provides the funding

Citigroup has unveiled a $25bn partnership with private equity giant Apollo to push into private credit as it looks to gain ground in the fast-growing market.

The Wall Street bank and Apollo have entered into a partnership to provide $25bn worth of credit to private equity and corporate clients over the next five years, according to a statement by the bank.
