Citigroup wins Calpers borrowing rights

Citigroup's prime brokerage business has won exclusive borrowing rights for the majority of the $76bn (€59bn) of assets tendered by the California Public Employees' Retirement System in a securities lending auction.

Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Lehman Brothers and Metropolitan West Securities were also awarded mandates, according to eSecLending, a global securities lending manager that ran the auction for Calpers.
