Watchdog hits asset manager ARCM with fine for failing to disclose short positions in Premier Oil

This is the first time the FCA has fined a firm under the 2012 short-selling rules

The Financial Conduct Authority has fined asset manager Asia Research and Capital Management (ARCM) £873,118 over a failure to disclose short-selling positions in Premier Oil.

Under short-selling rules, firms are required to notify the FCA and publicly disclose their positions when they pass certain thresholds.
