UK tax hike could trigger high earner exodus

The hike of capital gains tax to 40% mooted by the UK coalition Government could force many of the country's wealthy to leave, say experts.

With an emergency budget promised before 1 July, big changes to the UK's tax system are expected. Much uncertainty remains but a more than 100% hike in capital gains tax to fund a "substantial increase" in the income tax threshold next April, is likely.
