Comdirect Bank, the online bank, has sold its French broking subsidiary to ProCapital, a subsidiary of the French arm of Aviva, the UK life assurance company formerly known as CGNU.

A spokesperson for Comdirect Bank declined to give details of the price paid by the French company, referring to a non-disclosure clause. The sale proceeds will be some compensation for Comdirect, the online broker.
