Commerzbank boss in new pledge to London

Klaus Patig, newly-installed head of Commerzbank Securities, has pledged not to close the UK arm of the troubled investment bank after flying to London on his first day in the job to reassure staff.

Patig, named as interim investment banking head on October 1 following the departure of Mehmet Dalman, has moved to underline the German bank's commitment to its securities and investment banking subsidiary.
