Commerzbank, which has jumped 11 places to 35th in Europe for initial public offerings, has hired a head of equity capital markets with "vast expertise" to help push it further up the league table.

Ute Gerbaulet joins Commerzbank after 14 years at WestLB in Dusseldorf, where she was a managing director and co-head of equity capital markets.
