Commerzbank loses top US executive

Commerzbank's top US banker, Omar Bayoumi, has resigned amid a wave of senior departures at the German bank over the past four months.

A spokeswoman for Commerzbank in London confirmed that Bayoumi, who was head of Commerzbank in the Americas, has left. He quit days before the high-profile departure of Mehmet Dalman, head of investment banking at Commerzbank, on October 1.
