Coral sets UK refinancing record

Charterhouse Capital Partners will this week complete the UK's biggest private equity-backed refinancing when it recapitalises Coral, the retail betting chain, for £1.25bn (€1.8bn).

The London buy-out house's debt raising will allow it to pay itself a special dividend of up to £400m and follows an £830m refinancing in February that generated a £220m return.
