The Russian economy has entered a deep winter. The rouble has halved against the dollar, western sanctions are biting, inflation is soaring, interest rates have rocketed and the oil price – to which the Russian economy is heavily exposed – has crashed.

For banks and corporates in the country, the question is: how to make it through to a hoped-for thaw?
