CQS appoints chairman

CQS, the asset manager, has appointed Marc Hotimsky as chairman and a senior member of the management team. According to the firm, he will assist in furthering CQS's institutionalisation. Hotimsky co-founded New Finance Capital, a fund of hedge fund business that was acquired by Schroders in 2006, and ran Schroders New Finance Capital until 2011. He also previously worked at CSFB where he was a colleague of CQS chief executive Michael Hintze.
