Cravath to pay $115,000 bonuses to junior lawyers in sector pay hike

US law firm bonus season kicks off with rate increase

Cravath Swaine & Moore will pay bonuses of up to $115,000 to its junior lawyers, an increase on the previous year that will put pressure on other top firms to follow suit.

The new bonus scale stretches from $15,000 for first-year lawyers to $115,000 for eighth-year lawyers, according to a 22 November memo reported by the website, Above the Law. A person with knowledge of the matter confirmed the accuracy of the memo.
