Credit derivatives market could reach $15 trillion by 2007

The credit derivatives market could grow to reach a staggering $15 trillion (€13.2 trillion) by 2007, according to research by McKinsey, the US consultancy.

Dominic Casserley, head of the European banking and securities practice at McKinsey, was bullish on the credit derivatives market at a derivatives conference hosted by Deutsche Bank in Barcelona. He described credit derivatives as "a win-win opportunity".
