Credit Suisse names new European investment banking heads

Marisa Drew and Ewen Stevenson have been named as co-heads of the investment banking department in Europe – following the departure of the former head to a client

Jamie Welch, the head of Credit Suisse’s European investment banking department, is leaving the bank after just over a year in the role, Financial News can reveal.

Welch will be replaced by Marisa Drew, who co-heads the global markets solutions group, and Ewen Stevenson, who is co-head of the global financial institutions group. They will both keep their current roles and report into Jim Amine, global head of the investment banking department, on a functional basis, and Gaёl de Boissard, chief executive for Emea, on a regional basis.
