Credit Suisse roadshow uncovers bearish outlook

Credit Suisse has found widespread bearishness among investors over the predicted performance of a range of asset classes in the first half of this year, following a survey of more than 100 of the Swiss bank's clients in Europe and the US.

A four-week roadshow by Credit Suisse analysts, visiting 18 cities and 107 clients in Europe and on the US east coast, found over 60% of investors expect the leading S&P 500 index to be trading at around the same level in six months time, while a similar proportion have a negative outlook on emerging market equities.
