CSFB trumps Goldman's Warner Chilcott bid

A consortium advised by Credit Suisse First Boston has trumped Goldman Sachs' offer for Warner Chilcott, the Northern Ireland-based pharmaceuticals company at the centre of a three-way private equity fight. Warner has recommended the CSFB offer.

Goldman Sachs, which is representing its own private equity arm, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, Blackstone and Texas Pacific Group, offered 837p a share on Monday.
