Global sales chief departs ANZ amid restructuring

David Carr was hired a year ago to help boost the New Zealand bank's presence in Asia

David Carr, global head of sales for financial markets at ANZ, has left his job amid a restructuring that comes a year after he was drafted in to boost the New Zealand bank's presence in Asia.

Stephen Ries, a spokesman for ANZ, confirmed that Singapore-based Carr left last month. Carr said his position was made redundant as a result of a restructuring that will fold ANZ's sales team into its product lines.
