Dealmaker of the Year – Simon Robey

Dealmaker of the Year – Simon Robey

Financial News last night hosted its 13th annual awards for excellence in European investment banking. The awards were presented at a dinner held at The Magazine restaurant at London's Serpentine Sackler Gallery.

Robey Warshaw co-founder Simon Robey secured the highest average score of any award winner to take home the title of Dealmaker of the Year. In a few short years Robey has, with his colleagues, helped to set out a blueprint for bankers who choose to create their own independent advisory firm. Robey, formerly of Morgan Stanley and a go-to banker for many CEOs in the FTSE250, describes himself as “calm, thoughtful and understated”. Among its big-ticket mandates was a role on SoftBank £24 billion takeover of UK chip-designer ARM Holdings.
