Deutsche Bank has recruited Alan Brown as a director in the European utilities team, the latest in a string of hires in recent months to boost the bank's European and US investment banking business.

Brown is to join Deutsche's global corporate finance division on January 5 from HSBC, where he was a director responsible for energy and utilities deals in the UK and Europe. Prior to HSBC Brown worked in the corporate development department at British Energy.
