Deutsche Bank sells $500m in private equity investments to CSFB

Deutsche Bank has disposed of a third tranche of its private equity portfolio with the sale of about $500m (€435m) worth of stakes in funds to Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB).

Sources close to the deal said the disposal involves stakes in 30 funds, mostly focused on buy-outs rather than venture capital. It follows Deutsche's disposal of a €1.5bn portfolio of direct private equity investments to a consortium of investors and the securitisation of a further $465m worth of stakes in funds.
