Deutsche Börse reveals record profits

Deutsche Börse, the German exchange, made record net profits of €233m ($250m) for 2002, a rise of nearly 15% year-on-year, exceeding both analysts' estimates and its own targets.

Revenue increased 46% to €1.1bn, a quarter of which was contributed by Clearstream, the clearing and settlement agency that the exchange bought last year.
