Josef Nägel, head of primary markets at the Deutsche Börse and the man in charge of the high-growth Neuer Markt in Frankfurt, has resigned with almost immediate effect.

Nägel, who was also in charge of the SMAX small-cap segment of the market, will leave Deutsche Börse at the end of September. He has been head of the Neuer Markt for nearly three years.
