Digital entrepreneur joins Index Ventures as partner

An internet entrepreneur who worked for voice-over-internet company Skype, has joined venture capital firm Index Ventures. He starts work as a partner at the firm's London office this week.

Saul Klein's association with Index goes back several years – the firm backed Video Island, an online DVD rental company Klein co-founded, investing €3m ($3.9m) in a funding round in 2003 before committing capital in a second round the following year.
