Domestic corporate bonds outgrow securities

The Australian capital markets reached an important milestone this year, when the domestic corporate bond market outgrew the Commonwealth Government securities market for the first time.

In June, the end of the financial year, domestic corporate bond outstandings stood at A$61bn, (€35.8bn), a whisker ahead of the A$60bn on issue in the Commonwealth sector.
