Doughty Hanson adds to real estate portfolio

Doughty Hanson, the pan-European private equity firm, has acquired a group of 24 properties from Grundig, the German audio-visual equipment manufacturer, to add to its European property portfolio.

The investment was made by the firm's $630m (€709m) real estate fund, targeting opportunities in the European real estate sector. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The buildings were previously Grundig's headquarters, in Fürth, Germany.
