Duffield snares leading small-cap analyst

Tim Steer, one of the London's most respected small to mid cap analysts, is quitting brokers Collins Stewart to join John Duffield's New Star Asset Management &quotin the next few weeks&quot.

Steer, 45, confirmed on Wednesday he will be leaving the broker on Friday. &quotThe attraction is that I will be a founder shareholder at New Star,&quot said Steer. &quotAnd I am excited about joining a start-up.&quot New Star is the brainchild of former Jupiter boss Duffield.
