Dutch court orders probe into Unilever

A Dutch court has ordered an investigation into a plan by the Anglo-Dutch fund group Unilever to convert preference shares into ordinary shares.

In a landmark case for Dutch corporate governance, the Amsterdam commercial court said three investigators would look into the matter following a legal challenge brought by VEB, a lobby group of domestic and foreign pension funds and individual investors.
