Dutch funds award GSAM €750m mandate

The €11bn ($12.7bn) Pensionfonds Metalektro (PME), the Dutch pension fund for the metal industry, has awarded Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) a €750m asset allocation and active currency strategy mandate.

The fund picked GSAM over its competitors because of its ability to provide active currency management and tailor-made solutions. GSAM already manages a currency hedging programme for the fund.
