Eircom sets record straight about IPOs

Eircom, Ireland's largest phone company, is seeking to clarify the disposal of its multimedia assets, following a stormy shareholder meeting on Wednesday.

A spokesperson for Eircom, whose shares have fallen more than 50% since its initial public offering in July last year, said the Dublin-based company would definitely be floating some of its multimedia assets. However, Eircom has yet to decide which parts of the business it will sell.
