Electra adds heavy industry

Electra Partners Europe is the latest European private equity firm to snap up a part of ThyssenKrupp, the German steel and engineering group running a multi-billion euro divestments programme.

Electra will pay €155m ($207m) for ThyssenKrupp Fahrzeugguss, an automotive products manufacturer with reported sales last year of €300m and whose customers include Volkswagen, BMW and Porsche.
