Electra Private Equity has overhauled its broking line-up, with HSBC and Morgan Stanley called in by the FTSE 250-listed investment trust, which is in the midst of reviewing its strategy after the activist investor Edward Bramson won a showdown with the trust in November.

Electra named HSBC and Morgan Stanley as its joint brokers with immediate effect in a statement on February 25.
