Musk makes ‘best and final offer’ to take control of social media giant

Billionaire Elon Musk on 14 April said he has made a non-binding proposal to buy Twitter and take it private in a deal valuing the social-media company at more than $43bn.

Musk, who recently disclosed that he had taken a 9.1% stake in Twitter, revealed the $54.20-a-share proposal in a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
