Enel uses Lazard for €1bn gas deal

Lazard has guided Enel, the Italian electricity group, to a €1bn ($866m) acquisition that will make it Italy's second largest operator in gas distribution and waste management.

Enel bought Camuzzi Gazometri from Mill Hill Investments, the holding group. Enel bought 40% of the company in October last year for €434m, but had retained the option to buy the rest.
