Equities lead European sales growth

European pooled fund sales hit a five-year high in September, suggesting they are on course to touch €350bn ($409bn) this year, against €134bn last year.

Net equity fund sales of €14.8bn in the month were the best since stock markets started to crash in 2000, according to data provider Feri Fund Market Information. It was the first time in 13 months they had overtaken bond fund sales, which totalled €9.8bn.
