Ericsson launches private equity fund

A new private equity fund that is dedicated to the funding of mobile internet ventures is set to go live in the next few weeks.

The four lead investors in the $300m(&#8364333m) fund are Swedish communications giant Ericsson, venture capital firm Investor AB, holding company Industrivarden and US investment bank Merrill Lynch. Each of the venture partners will commit $75m (€83.3m) to the Ericsson Venture Partners fund which is expected to be operational by September/October this year.
