EU regulator's Q&A guidance covers topics including best execution, reporting and investment research

Europe's top markets regulator has begun to provide its "Q&A" guidance for Mifid II, marking the last – but potentially most critical – phase of the regulatory process for the new trading rulebook.

The Paris-based European Securities and Markets Authority issued separate Q&As for the revised Markets in Financial Instruments Directive on October 2 and October 10 - as well as a 289-page guidance document on October 10.
