EU and UK agree to intensify Brexit talks

Both sides are set 'to work intensively' to secure a deal

The UK and European Union have agreed to work “intensively” to secure a Brexit deal, in an eleventh-hour effort to salvage negotiations.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson held urgent talks with the president of the European Union's executive body, at 2pm on 3 October, after the last round of negotiations failed to break the Brexit deadlock.
