EU medicines official says vaccine is ‘difficult’ and ‘unlikely’ to happen before 2021

The executive director of the European Medicines Agency called on EU countries to refrain from trying to get ahead of the agency to distribute a vaccine

A Covid-19 vaccine is looking “unlikely” and practically “difficult” by the end of the year, the executive director of the European Medicines Agency said.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Guido Rasi said: “Technically, of course it’s possible. Practically it’s very difficult – it’s very unlikely.”
