Eurex chairman Franke confirms resignation

Jörg Franke, chairman of Eurex, has confirmed that he plans to quit the Swiss-German derivatives exchange by the end of the year, but declined to give reasons.

Franke finally went public with his resignation at a press conference in Frankfurt, scheduled to discuss the merits of the planned merger between Deutsche Borse, Eurex's parent, and the London Stock Exchange to form the iX pan-European exchanges.
