Eurex US starts charging for Treasury products

Eurex US, the fledgling North American arm of the Swiss-German derivatives exchange, is to reintroduce transaction fees on its family of US Treasury contracts from the beginning of next year.

From January 1 all trades executed on the Eurex US order book will cost $0.05 per side, while over-the-counter trades will be subject to $0.45 per side charge. The new levy replaces an earlier fee structure, which was based on a sliding scale and was dependent on volume.
