European ECM first-quarter issuance falls to lowest in 10 years

European equity capital markets issuance totalled just $6.7bn (€6.3bn) in the slowest first quarter since 1993, according to preliminary data from Dealogic, the investment banking research firm.

Other regions have also been hit by a drop in issuance. The US experienced its slowest first quarter since 1995 and Asia Pacific since 1999.
