Europe’s ETF industry edges towards $1tn milestone

BlackRock continues to dominate European market, but ETF growth has long coattails for entrants too

The fast-growing exchange traded fund industry in Europe is on course to reach a milestone $1tn in assets, following another year of bumper inflows for product providers in the region.

According to data from data provider ETFGI, assets in European-domiciled ETFs and exchange traded products stood at $960bn at the end of October — a fresh record for the industry.
